Today I caught the ferry from Heysham near Morecambe Bay in England to Douglas on the Isle of Man. Isle of Man is known for Bee Gees, cats without tails, castles, and young people riding very fast on motorbikes. Isle of Man is also a tax haven and therefore the home of many banks. While Isle of Man is part of the United Kingdom, the island counts as a separate ‘territory’ in the ‘been’ app, taking my country quest score to 170 out of a possible 266, or 63% of the world's total number countries and territories. As for actual 'real' countries I have been to (as defined by the United Nations), this tally remains at 146 out of a possible 195.
